Wired

Wired

By definition, wired is described as being edgy from stimulant intake. One step through the door of Wired, in downtown Lake Havasu City, and all your senses will be stimulated by the sights, sounds, and smells—of fresh baked goods and coffee brewing—coffee from all over the world! The downtown meeting place, Wired also offers internet access in a feels-like-home atmosphere that will make even a first-timer feel like a regular.

Store

Co-owners Donna Brister and Eileen Nexsen prepare all of their meals fresh daily. Serving breakfast and lunch, the variety of gourmet foods includes quiche, sandwiches and more than 27 different, homemade soups! Cakes, scones, pies and other sweet treats make the perfect combo with their wide selection of hot or cold drinks from coffee, teas, chai, juice, soft drinks and all-natural fruit smoothies. Wander to the back room and sample the fabulous juice bar. Speaking of cakes, check out the cake board—they can make any shape or size of cake, baked fresh to your specifications.

Store

Much more than a coffee shop, the store is decorated with arts an crafts, and extension of Eileen’s Enchanted Gallery — a business she expanded from the early beginnings as an out-of -her-house venture. Wandering through the store provides a variety of surprises. First of all, how large and spacious the shop is and yet cozy. Surprised first timers will discover that, not only is Wired a great place to gather and socialize with friends over a great gourmet cup of coffee or a tasty treat, but that you can also receive a facial or massage, topped off with a freshly prepared lunch.

Whether it’s a quick grab-and-go or a leisurely morning to pamper yourself, you’ll enjoy getting Wired!

Are You Wired? You owe it to yourself to try Wired, located at 2131 McCulloch Blvd. The coffee shop also features live acoustical music by a local talent, guitarist Scott Young; Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Open 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. M-F, 6-Noon Saturday/Sunday. (928) 846-4702.

Java Rush

Java Rush

Steve Commeau, the owner of Java Rush, purchased the business three years ago to sell real estate. “Java Rush was an established business with an 8-year customer base in a great location. As a realtor, I found that a coffee shop was the perfect place to meet people and sell real estate.”

Like most coffee shops in town, you can get your favorite Cup o’ Joe–but the big difference – as Steve points out, “We’ll make whatever you want, if we don’t have it on the menu, we’ll go out of our way to make it.” Steve laughed about the early days, “I knew nothing about making coffee: our coffee wasn’t that great, but our customers stuck with us, and now I think we serve the best hot and cold beverages in town.”  Coffee lovers of all ages enjoy the ambiance of the shop, especially the monthly rotation of local artists and photographers. February features the contemporary fine art of local artist, Janet E. McIntyre.

“We started out making coffee for customers, and ended up making the best drinks possible for our loyal base of customers we now call friends.” What’s The Rush?: A great place for Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, teas and blended drinks with a variety of bagels, muffins, cookies, soups and grilled Panini sandwiches to round out the menu. Java Rush is located at Smiths Shopping Plaza at 2231 McCulloch Blvd.
