The Needles Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the return of a premier boat show/car show event along the banks of the famous Colorado River! Each year the numbers keep increasing, these boats and cars are hot, hot, hot! The 4th Annual Needles Route 66 Hot Boat & Custom Car Show to be held at Jack Smith Park (1000 River Road) will be held on February 24-26, 2012 and we want you there!
Our event kicks off on February 24, 2012 with a golf tournament at the Rivers Edge Golf Course (144 Marina Drive) in Needles. Shotgun start time is 8am(pst), cart and lunch is included. An Early Registration Mixer will be held at Juicy’s River Cafe, 2411 W. Broadway from 12pm(pst) to 3pm(pst). Line up begins at 3:30pm(pst) for a boat and car parade on Route 66 through town, open to all, followed by a kick off bbq dinner with music at the downtown Santa Fe Park at Front and G Streets. Saturday and Sunday, February 25 and 26, at 10am(pst), will be the show on the river, showcasing big block boats showing off their stuff on the water! V-drive, twin hull, competition boats of all kinds can be seen. We are expecting over 220 boat and car entries as the event keeps growing. Cars, boats, music, beer garden, vendors, raffles, 50/50, awards and plenty to do and see makes for a great day at Jack Smith Park in Needles, California. This year, get in on the “Mystery Poker Walk” and you might win a prize!
Entry fee for the boats and cars is $30, which includes an event shirt. The golf tournament is $80 per player. Community bbq is $8.00 per plate and the parade is free! Spectators for Saturday and Sunday are $3 per person, $10 per carload, or two day wristband for $5 per person. Parking is free! Volunteers are needed to make this a successful event.
