Grace Arts Live

A Main Street Performing Arts Theatre

Peter Pan

Think you have to head to Broadway in New York to see live theater? Well, did you know that outside of the McCoy Rigby Entertainment touring company’s musical presentation of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, Grace Arts Live was the only other place in the United States you could see the 2010 production of Peter Pan, the musical? Grace Arts Live opened at the current location on McCulloch Blvd. in 2007, thanks to the hard work of Grace Ann Etcheberria-Jacobs, a top talent with Fine Arts degrees (both Bachelor and Masters), from the renowned United State International University: School of Visual and Performing Arts.

Grace’s love for the arts was instilled by her mom at an early age. Growing up in the Basque culture of the Mission Viejo area, Grace soon fell in love with the arts. If you know nothing about the Basque people (from the northern Spain/France border) all you need to know is that the culture is rich in dance and song. Immersed in the arts culture, Grace produced/directed live shows for the Moonlight Amphitheater in Vista, California. In early 2000, she was involved in a production that included a young, undiscovered Adam Lambert (8th season runner-up of American Idol) playing Captain Hook. Thankfully, Grace decided to relocate her talents to Lake Havasu City and has never looked back. Thanks to the hard work of over 100 volunteers— from actors, ushers, production and technical people, Grace Arts Live continues to thrive in bringing quality, live productions at prices that are definitely below a Broadway production. Also owner of the Arizona Coast Performing Arts Dance Studio, Grace continues to cultivate homegrown talent, and quite possibly tomorrows Broadway stars!

Why Is Theatre Spelled So Funny? Who Cares? All you really need to know is that the 2012 Spring Season at Grace Arts Live kicks off February 17 with the production of Cabaret and is followed by West Side Story in March and Fiddler on the Roof in April. Single or season ticket information can be obtained by calling 928-505-ARTS, or stop by the box office at 2146 McCulloch Blvd.
