Bikers For Christ

Bikers For Christ Motorcycle Ministry began in August 1990. It was founded in Marysville, California by Pastor Fred Zariczny (Fred Z.) Being involved in Christian motorcycle clubs & ministries for many years, he decided to start a new outreach ministry simply called; “Bikers For Christ”. Fred states: “we also set forth to simplify our purpose and vision – without a lot of bylaws, constitutions, amendments, etc…” . Promotion of BFC in the first years occurred by word of mouth and by way of Fred’s many travels on his bike, along with other dedicated members, to plant chapters. BFC has grown to over 2,300 members (tripling in size since 2003) with Chapters in 49 states and 10 countries.

Bike Week

Staying true to their original purpose, each BFC chapter operates under an elder and the local church. A national administrator oversees the regional elders, handles finances and merchandise as well as application filing and review. We run a simple two-piece patch, that claims “no territorial” rocker, or “M.C.” designation. Our colors have been carefully and prayerfully chosen so as not to identify with or antagonize any other group. The Colorado River Chapter (out of Lake Havasu City, AZ) of Bikers For Christ announces our Downed Biker Ministry, known as Downed Biker Fund Western AZ, a special ministry to benefit those bikers who have been involved in a street motorcycle accident and need assistance. They award funds to the downed biker to assist with the immediate needs associated with an accident. Counselors, ministers and other resources are available to assist at this time of need. This assistance is offered to any motorcycle rider in the Western Arizona area, regardless of race, color, religion or club affiliation, who is involved in a motorcycle accident that results in hospitalization. BFC raises funds with volunteers, donated items, and donations. All funds generated go directly to the bikers in need of assistance.

To facilitate this endeavor, the 1st Annual Downed Biker Rally event will take place Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Sara Park Rodeo Grounds. Donation is $15 (passengers $10) and includes a Full Breakfast, Live Music by the BFC Full Throttle Band, Raffle Prizes & 50/50, Vendors. Club Participation Trophy for the best Club Attendance and more.
